This year, Year 1 have been learning about different types of trees. We looked at the trees in winter (wearing our warm coats) and noticed the deciduous trees had no leaves. We went out again this week (in our shorts and t-shirts) and noticed all the deciduous trees now have lots of green leaves! Did you know deciduous trees lose their leaves every autumn/winter and regrow them again in spring/summer? #soar #stbartsway
As we come to the end of our Drowning Prevention Week, you can find more information on how to keep your child safe near water on the Royal Life Saving website #soar #stbartsway

This week is Drowning Prevention Week, and in PSHE the focus for our children has been how to keep safe near open water. They have been learning the importance of 'stoping and thinking' and 'staying together'. They have also practised saying the number 999 and floating on their backs, both important ways to deal with an emergency. #soar #stbartsway
EYFS have enjoyed the climbing wall today, showing bucket loads of courage to climb as high as they could! 270climbing #soar #stbartsway
